Our youth ministry is designed to engage our youth in the life of the body of Christ at Old Peachtree, not separate them from it. We work to equip our youth to participate now so that they grow in living out their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as active members in His church for the rest of their lives.
This is a critical time of life for your children to grow in their faith in Jesus Christ. The whole goal of the youth ministry at OPPC is not to entertain, but to disciple the youth, not to take the place of parents, but to come alongside the parents and reinforce what is coming from the pulpit with the gospel and build relationships. I hope and pray that those aren’t just words, but reality.
That is not to say that we don't have fun. We have a lot of fun on Sunday nights! We play a variety of games, laugh together and know God better. And God is not boring!
I want to encourage you to attend church on Sunday night and bring your children to Youth Group. It is a great time to grow in Christ, to make new friends, to deepen already existing friendships and be sanctified by the Word of God.
On Sunday evenings we enjoy regular times of worship, Bible teaching, eating, fellowship, games, and small group discussion/prayer. We also plan various events throughout the year to engage in service, fun, learning, and missions. You are sincerely invited to join us – our group is composed of grades 6 to 12. We meet at 5:30 p.m. on Sundays in the fellowship hall (however there is no meeting on the first Sunday of the month).
